Bitget Wallet has integrated decentralized lending protocol Aave to allow users to stake USDT and USDC across five blockchain networks while retaining self-custody of assets. Bitget Wallet now supports staking of USDT and USDC on Ethereum, Base, Polygon, Arbitrum, and Optimism through Aave, enabling users to earn real-time yields without locking funds. According to the announcement shared with Bitcoin.com News, the integration sources annual percentage yields (APYs) directly from onchain data, displayed via a dashboard for tracking earnings and withdrawals. A limited-time promotion offers participants a share of $7,000 in BGB tokens for staking at least $10 in USDT or USDC between Feb. 18 and March 4 (UTC+8). Bitget explained that the event aims to attract new users to decentralized finance (DeFi) staking. The wallet’s security protocols include a $600 million Protection Fund and audited smart contracts. Bitget stressed that users maintain full control of staked assets, aligning with Bitget Wallet’s non-custodial model. Bitget Wallet also supports staking for Ethereum, Solana, and TON, among other networks, as part of its broader multi-chain services. Societe Generale-Forge (SG-FORGE) has expanded its multichain strategy by launching its EUR-backed stablecoin (EURCV) on the Stellar network. This marks a major step in Europe’s regulated digital asset landscape, combining compliance with the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework and Stellar’s high-speed, low-cost blockchain infrastructure. As one of the first MiCA-compliant stablecoins, EURCV will offer security, transparency, and expanded financial access. The Stellar network’s scalability allows thousands of transactions per second, while its near-instant processing and minimal transaction fees make it ideal for cross-border payments and micropayments. “Stellar’s approach and established connections with asset managers and TradFi institutions align perfectly with our mission to achieve broader adoption of stablecoins within the financial system,” stated Guillaume Chatain, Chief Revenue Officer at SG-FORGE. By joining Stellar’s ecosystem, EURCV will connect with financial institutions, asset managers, and traditional finance players already leveraging the network. Additionally, Stellar’s built-in decentralized exchange (DEX) and asset tokenization capabilities will enable seamless integration of EURCV into financial applications. The Brazilian cryptocurrency market has scored yet another milestone, offering investors the world’s first XRP exchange-traded fund (ETF). The instrument, which according to local media was greenlighted by the country’s Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM), will offer institutions an easy way of investing in XRP, Ripple’s international cryptocurrency, without having to deal with self-custody and maintenance. The Hashdex Nasdaq XRP Index Fund was launched by Hashdex, a known crypto fund manager, and managed by Genial Investimentos. The fund is currently in its pre-operational phases. The liftoff of this ETF makes the Brazilian market a pioneer yet again when it comes to opening investment options that benefit institutions and individuals who enter the cryptocurrency market for the first time. Brad Garlinghouse, CEO of Ripple, reacted to the news positively on X, telling his followers “Bom Dia!” Silvio Pegado, Regional Director of Ripple Latam, believes that Brazil has a visionary approach to crypto markets, remarking that it also approved one of the world’s first Bitcoin ETFs in 2021, conceived by QR Capital. Talking to Valor Economico, Pegado declared: Through regulation and public consultations, Brazil continues to position itself as a country open to innovation, and we expect it to be central to more pioneering advances in the crypto sector in the future. Brazil has opened to other similar crypto funds, including the first Latam-based Ethereum ETF, and the first and second Solana-based ETFs. The performance of these funds has also been positive, with crypto ETFs reaching record numbers in November when investors jumped into the cryptocurrency bull market using these vehicles.
