I’ve been steadily loading up $SERV over the past month with an average entry around 17–18M market cap. The reason is simple, in terms of tech, there’s really no other project that comes close to them in the #AI multi-agent narrative. If you’re deep into the AI side of things, I highly recommend checking out their docs. Another bonus is 0/0 tax and has deep liquidity, which made it an ideal pick for me to buy with size. Finally, the way the project is being handled is like a real company in terms of professionalism, it does not mean it will make 1b$ market cap, but definitely a very good sign. Ripple recently walked out of a legal tussle with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) with bruises and bragging rights. In a fresh appearance, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse suggested that it might pay its $50 million fine in XRP. Garlinghouse hinted that the tide is turning in Washington. A fresh SEC chair got appointed, and the US doesn’t hate crypto quite as much. However, the recent tariff war has managed to vanish all the gains registered by XRP since it finally ended its legal battle with the commission. In an interview with Fox Business, Brad Garlinghouse stated that the US government is going to end up with $50 million. He also mentioned talking about making that payment in XRP. This statement comes after US President Donald Trump announced that XRP, along with Solana (SOL) and Cardano (ADA) would be included in a newly formed crypto strategic reserve . Ripple seems to be really enjoying freedom from the legal complications. One year ago, the crypto firm would not have dreamed about dropping $2 billion on a company like Hidden Road. Its recent buyout isn’t just a flex but a signal that the era of crypto companies going global while dodging US regulators may be ending. Garlinghouse thinks the industry is entering a “build, don’t battle” phase in America. The SEC has already decided to drop its appeal without any conditions while Ripple agreed to put down its cross-appeal. The commission will be keeping $50 million of the $125 million fine and the balance will be returned to the defendants. US regulators are finally softening up, institutions are no longer frozen out, and crypto has gone from villain to hedge fund’s favorite. “We’ve gone from headwinds to tailwinds,” Garlinghouse said. Brad Garlinghouse also took his shot at predicting Bitcoin’s price, saying he thinks that $200,000 is not unreasonable. However, he didn’t hype up XRP, saying that it’s “too close to home.” XRP has been the best-performing major crypto in the last 90 days. “I’m very optimistic,” the CEO added. Bitcoin price has fluctuated between highs of $83k and lows of $74k over the last 7 days. BTC is trading at an average price of $83,784 as of press time, down by 15% in the past 60 days. Vancouver Mayor Ken Sim has continued his big Bitcoin push as he attempts to make the city a Bitcoin-friendly city. According to reports, Sim mentioned that the push is a hill he is willing to die on, as he awaits the city staff report on whether digital assets could be integrated into the financial strategies and systems of Vancouver one day. Since he introduced the motion to the council in December, the Vancouver mayor has been on the move, trying to make people understand the motivation behind his obsession with what many will describe as a complex concept. He has done media rounds, appeared on podcasts and other events within the confines of the crypto industry, and even appeared as the keynote speaker at the Virgo Crypto Summit. The Vancouver Mayor gave his speech at the Sheraton Wall Center on April 4, a day before the council bye-election. ABC Vancouver, Sim’s party, had set up in the lobby right outside the ballroom where the event took place, with the party’s candidates–Jaime Stein and Ralph Kaisers–getting time to speak. Sim introduced both of them as supporters of the crypto community after asking, “Is it the end of the world if these two incredible individuals don’t get elected?” “No, but I’ll tell you what’s at stake: We put the industry behind by at least a year-and-a-half, and as we know in this industry, things are moving at the speed of light.” The comment was quite odd considering ABC Vancouver held seven of the 11 seats on the council before the bye-election. The reference to the year and a half is the remaining time until the 2026 general civic election. SIM, who is originally a chartered accountant and former investment banker has keyed into his push for digital assets. He mentioned that no matter what the staff recommends in the report, he will ensure more work is done on digital assets. “If they miss the mark, if they come up with recommendations that are factually incorrect or based on the wrong data, I will be personally filing an amendment to correct those discrepancies, and then we’ll vote on that as well, and then it will pass,” he told those present at the event. Stein and Kaisers fell short, ending up in sixth and seventh place among 13 candidates. The race was eventually won by Sean Orr of COPE and Lucy Maloney of OneCity, who share the thought that Sim has been wasting time on Bitcoin when issues like affordable housing, homelessness, and childcare need his attention. According to reports, the mayor’s motion in December directs staff to explore options to make Vancouver Bitcoin-friendly by carrying out a deep analysis of the potential to integrate BTC into the city’s financial strategies. One of the aspects that Sim included in his directive was to accept taxes and other fees in Bitcoin. The mayor has also called for the conversion of some part of the city’s financial reserves into Bitcoin, which he said is “to preserve purchasing power and guard against the volatility, debasement and inflationary pressures of traditional currencies.” He described Bitcoin as a decentralized, digital currency that acts as a hedge against the ups and downs of the central monetary systems. The Vancouver mayor added that the asset has been recognized by experts as the best bet against inflation and currency debasement, highlighting that it represents the best store of value due to its supply, which is capped at 21 million. Sim also pointed to the growing adoption of the asset across global economies, noting cities like Zug in Switzerland, Seoul in South Korea, and El Salvador that have fully adopted the digital asset. In his speech at the event, he touched on various areas of discussion while noting that they have the responsibility to do what is best for Vancouver. “This is a hill that I’m willing to die on because it’s the right thing to do. And from a purely selfish perspective, I want my boys to [continue to] live here,” the Vancouver mayor said. He also mentioned the rise in crimes associated with the crypto sector, noting that it is the way the criminals have decided to use the assets to launder funds. Sim added that his interest in Bitcoin is to protect the purchasing power of Vancouver in the years to come. “It is becoming mainstream. Nation states, ETFs, pension funds, family offices, investment advisors —they’re all starting to add it to portfolios. I would love to see Vancouver set up for the next 100 years. That’s my opinion,” he said. This weekend, Bitcoin (BTC) pushed up 5% to once more flirt with $85,000, but seasoned analysts aren’t cheering just yet, suspecting a fakeout. Crypto investor Daan Crypto Trades dropped a spicy warning, noting that the number one cryptocurrency has formed weekend gaps for six weeks in a row, with its price retracing hard by midweek every single time. The market watcher pointed out that Bitcoin’s weekend pumps, often fueled by low liquidity and hype, tend to reverse within days. “Whenever a move is made during the weekend, it almost always retraces that move within the same following week,” he cautioned his 403,000 followers on X. “So the saying usually is to not always trust the weekend move, even if it extends a little further early in the week,” he added, sharing a chart of BTC’s recent “gap-and-trap” pattern. But not everyone is buying the dip doom narrative. In his usual provocative fashion, former BitMEX CEO Arthur Hayes declared, “It’s on like Donkey Kong,” pointing to signs that the U.S. Federal Reserve may unleash more liquidity to stabilize the bond market. “Buy everything,” he posted after reports emerged that a top Fed official had admitted the central bank is ready to intervene. The perma-bull is betting that such a move could be the catalyst that rockets BTC into what he calls “UP ONLY” mode. Hayes isn’t alone in his optimism. A poll by crypto commentators Altcoin Daily shows 75.5% of crypto enthusiasts believe Bitcoin will smash a new all-time high (ATH) before the end of 2025. Hayes himself has predicted $250,000 by year’s end as long as macro tailwinds hold. The weekend pump pushed BTC to over $85,000, up from a low of $81,500, per CoinGecko data. A slight 0.5% reversal across seven days means that BTC is only marginally outperforming the broader crypto market, which is down 0.9% over the same period. Still, its dominance stands at 60.5%, with $31.3 billion in daily volume and a $1.65 trillion market cap. However, the king cryptocurrency is down 23% from its all-time high of $108,786, recorded earlier in the year. And with liquidity thin over the weekend, one wrong headline could send prices spiraling into the new week.
