In this article, we will guide you through the process of completing
Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) with Bitget when depositing
EUR via the
bank deposit channel.
Note:
-
Before you begin, make sure you have completed identity verification; otherwise, your deposits may fail.
-
Please be aware that Ouitrust has implemented a mandatory Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for any EUR deposits and withdrawals exceeding 14,999 EUR for SEPA, or 15,000 EUR for SEPA Instant, to ensure the utmost security of your funds. There are two scenarios: 1) You will receive an internal message prompting you to complete the EDD when your transaction amount exceeds this limit; alternatively, 2) You can visit the bank deposit page to complete the EDD before initiating your transactions.
Scenario 1 - How to complete EDD via internal message
You will receive the messages below via internal messaging and email when your requested deposit transaction exceeds
14,999 EUR. To proceed, you must complete the EDD process and submit the required documents.

EUR as your preferred deposit currency.

Step 2: A daily deposit limit will be displayed on the page upon entering your desired deposit amount.
Note:
-
The information you verified with Bitget must match the profile of the bank account you plan to use for the deposit. If it doesn’t, your deposit request will be rejected, and an additional refund fee will apply.
-
If your transaction is rejected, please contact support@bitget.com to provide the correct information or documents. You can also request a refund, but please note that an additional refund fee will be charged.
Step 3: You will be asked to provide additional documents to continue your deposits at Bitget. If you need to change your saved EDD Level 1 information, please contact support@bitget.com for assistance.
Please be aware that a mandatory EDD Level 2 will be required for any EUR deposits and withdrawals exceeding
29,999 EUR to ensure the utmost security for your funds.
Step 4: It will take at least 48 hours for the bank deposit team to review your EDD request. Your information will be reviewed, and you will be notified via email if your request is approved. If the review is unsuccessful, you can request a refund of the deposited amount; however, an additional refund fee will be charged.
