Bitwise Chief Investment Officer: Bitcoin may outperform stocks in market correction for the first time
Matt Hougan, Chief Investment Officer of Bitwise, recently stated that Bitcoin is showing "clearly different" characteristics from previous market corrections. Despite facing market volatility caused by Trump's tariff policy, the price of Bitcoin has fluctuated by only 0.07% in the past month, demonstrating rare stability. Since Bitcoin broke through $1 in 2011, it has never outperformed the stock market during a comprehensive market adjustment period, but Hougan believes this time may be different. With more companies, institutions, and governments starting to hold Bitcoin, its narrative as a safe haven asset is gradually replacing the positioning of risk assets, showing signs of a maturing cryptocurrency market.
