U.S. Tech Tariff Exemptions Spark Crypto Surge

U.S. Tech Tariff Exemptions Spark Crypto Surge

Bitcoin climbed to $84,900, gaining over 1.5% as it tries to reverse a downward trend lasting three months. This price jump followed the U.S. government's decision to exclude key tech products—like smartphones, chips, and computers—from new tariffs under former President Trump’s trade rules. These exemptions signal that the U.S. might be easing its stance in the ongoing trade war with China. Experts believe pressure from the bond market is pushing the U.S. to back down.
At the same time, other major cryptocurrencies like Ethereum (ETH), Ripple (XRP), and Cardano (ADA) rose sharply—by around 6%. This shows growing confidence among investors and a willingness to take more risks. Bitcoin’s recent price chart shows it might be breaking out of a steep decline, which could encourage more investors to buy in.
The broader crypto market is showing strong momentum. Stablecoins like USDT and USDC still hold a combined value of over $200 billion, near record levels. If this trend continues, it might lead to more gains when U.S. stock markets open on Monday.
