Analyst: Since its launch, Ethereum has only outperformed Bitcoin 15% of the time
PANews reported on April 9th, according to Cryptonews, Glassnode's chief analyst James Check pointed out in an article on platform X that historically, Ethereum has lagged behind Bitcoin in most market cycles. Since the launch of Ethereum in 2015, it has performed better than Bitcoin only on 15% of trading days. Ethereum briefly surpassed Bitcoin early on, especially from mid-2015 to mid-2017 and from late 2019 to early 2020.
Since the beginning of 2020, Bitcoin has been dominant. The ETH/BTC ratio has now fallen to its lowest point in five years at 0.018 - the lowest level since December 2019. At that time, the price of Ethereum was $125 while Bitcoin traded at around $7,000.
