US stocks open with S&P 500 down 2.5 per cent
U.S. stocks opened with the Dow down 1.1 per cent, the S&P 500 down 2.5 per cent and the Nasdaq down 3 per cent. Tech stocks continue to be under pressure, with Apple (AAPL.O) down 5 per cent and its market value falling below $3 trillion. Amazon (AMZN.O) fell 6.2 per cent and Nvidia (NVDA.O) dropped 2.4 per cent. DuPont (DD.N) fell 11.4 per cent. Top Chinese stocks fell in unison, with many down between 5 and 10 per cent.
