Goldman Sachs: Hedge funds sold a large amount of global tech stocks this week, marking the second highest volume in nearly five years
Goldman Sachs data shows that hedge funds have sold off a large amount of global tech stocks this week. The scale is second only to the sell-off in early August 2024 in the past five years. In this round of sell-offs, US tech stocks accounted for 75% of net sales. Analysts pointed out that even at the beginning of the bear market in 2022, these stocks did not experience such a rapid exit. This sector led the decline this quarter, with the Nasdaq 100 index falling -13% within the past six weeks.
