ADGM Teams Up with Chainlink to Help Businesses in UAE
Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), the financial hub of the UAE’s capital has teamed up with Chainlink, a well-known blockchain company, to bring tokenization into the mainstream while keeping everything legal and secure. Both parties have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to get things started
This is a major deal as Chainlink’s technology is already trusted worldwide. It handles over $19 trillion in transactions. Now, with ADGM’s regulatory expertise, they plan to make blockchain more accessible.
According to the press release , the idea is to set a global standard for digital finance, making it easier for businesses to tokenize assets and use blockchain in a secure way.
Hamad Sayah Al Mazrouei, CEO of ADGM Registration Authority, said this partnership is an important step in making ADGM a global leader in blockchain regulation.
“By collaborating with Chainlink, we are aiming to set a global benchmark that spearheads transparency, security, and trust across the blockchain space,” he explained.
As part of the deal, ADGM and Chainlink will also organize workshops and events to teach businesses and investors more about blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI), and other new technologies. These sessions will cover important topics like cross-chain interoperability (how different blockchains can communicate), proof of reserves (ensuring assets are real and verifiable), and new blockchain standards.
Angie Walker, Global Head of Banking and Capital Markets at Chainlink Labs, praised ADGM for creating an environment where blockchain projects can thrive. “Our alliance will elevate the blockchain ecosystem in the UAE, driving greater innovation and adoption,” she said. She also hinted that projects under ADGM’s guidance will start using Chainlink’s technology to ensure compliance and security.
