Russian Civic Association Proposes Setting Up Special Fund for Confiscated Crypto Assets
Evgeny Masharov, a member of the Russian Public Citizens Association, proposed the creation of a government cryptocurrency fund, which would include assets confiscated from criminal proceedings. According to the local news agency Tass on March 20, Masharov stated that the proposed cryptocurrency fund is intended to generate revenue for the government, with a focus on social projects. He said, "The proceeds from the cryptocurrency fund can be used for social, environmental, and educational projects."
