U.S. SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce: Worked with Acting Chairman Paul Atkins for four years, hoping to continue promoting "Safe Harbor" to encourage crypto innovation
According to Coindesk, Hester Peirce, a commissioner of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), said in an interview at the end of February that she still believes a "safe harbor" should be established to promote cryptocurrency innovation, but is not fixated on this idea. If people have better ideas they can propose them; the SEC's goal is for people to genuinely want to disclose information without worrying about becoming targets of SEC enforcement actions if they do.
In addition, Hester Peirce revealed that she had worked for four years for current acting SEC Chairman Paul Atkins, describing him as someone who likes clear laws and then enforces them.
