Uniswap's Unichain Emerges as Top DEX in Debut Month
Unichain, the newly launched Ethereum layer-2 network by Uniswap, experienced rapid growth in its first month, becoming the fastest-growing blockchain, as reported by Nansen. Despite having 236,452 active addresses in its debut month, Unichain's user base is still relatively small compared to other networks like Solana and BNB Chain. However, Unichain has made a significant impact in the decentralized exchange (DEX) space, surpassing Ethereum's base layer in DEX volume. In contrast, Berachain, another new network, reported a lower DEX volume but a higher number of active addresses than Unichain. Additionally, BNB Chain saw a significant increase in DEX volume, making it the second-largest by volume in the industry.
