Project Introduction

AB is a heterogeneous blockchain infrastructure built on a multi-layer technical architecture, including the foundational technology layer, the super exchange protocol layer, and the application layer. Originally launched as the Newton Project in 2018, it was officially rebranded as AB in 2025. AB focuses on heterogeneous blockchain architecture, real-world asset (RWA) integration, and optimized tokenomics, aiming to deliver a high-performance blockchain infrastructure with seamless cross-chain interoperability.

At the core of the AB ecosystem is its native token, $AB, which serves multiple roles: it functions as a gas token for on-chain transactions, powers smart contract execution, facilitates governance voting, and supports ecosystem incentives. Additionally, $AB is integral to various Web3 applications, including decentralized finance (DeFi), cross-chain asset interoperability, real-world asset tokenization, NFTs, and DAO governance.
AB utilizes a high-performance mainchain + sidechain architecture, providing tailored blockchain solutions for industries such as payments, gaming, and finance. It also supports interoperability with leading public blockchains like Ethereum, Tron, and Solana, enabling efficient cross-chain communication.
Looking ahead, AB plans to further enhance cross-chain interoperability, integrate real-world assets onto the blockchain, and expand its DeFi and NFT ecosystem, reinforcing $AB’s role as a key value exchange medium in Web3. In addition, AB is dedicated to growing its developer ecosystem, encouraging more DApps to deploy on its mainnet and driving blockchain adoption in finance, supply chain management, gaming, and social applications.

Project Highlights

Real-World Asset On-Chain Integration: Boosting Liquidity Transparency
AB is focused on bringing real-world assets (RWA) onto the blockchain, bridging traditional financial assets with decentralized technology. By utilizing decentralized registration, trading, and settlement mechanisms, AB enhances the liquidity of on-chain assets while ensuring transparency and regulatory compliance. This approach reduces the trust costs associated with traditional financial systems while offering enterprises, institutions, and individual users a more efficient asset management solution, aligning with principles of value investment.
Mainchain + Sidechain Architecture: Multi-Chain Compatibility
AB employs a high-performance mainchain + sidechain structure, supporting interoperability with multiple public chains like Ethereum, Tron, and Solana, enabling smooth cross-chain asset transfers. Users can seamlessly move assets across different blockchain networks, while developers gain access to a flexible environment for building complex decentralized applications (DApps) within the AB ecosystem. This architecture not only improves scalability but also allows AB to adapt to various application scenarios with greater flexibility.
Optimized Tokenomics: Unlocking Market Potential
AB has refined its tokenomics based on the NEP-63 proposal. Starting in February 2025, 5.66 billion locked tokens will be gradually released over 12 months, improving market liquidity while adjusting incentive structures to primarily benefit computing nodes.
Beyond mining rewards, AB introduces staking and lending mechanisms, enabling token holders to earn consistent, long-term returns, ensuring sustained market value support for $AB.

Market Cap Expectations

As a heterogeneous blockchain infrastructure, $AB operates across multiple sectors, including real-world asset tokenization. To evaluate its market potential, we compare it to similar projects that have undergone brand upgrades, such as the Layer-1 platform Sonic ($S), the RWA-focused Layer-1 blockchain MANTRA ($OM), and the RWA platform Plume Network ($PLUME).

Economic Model

Total Supply of $AB: 100,000,000,000 (100 billion tokens)
Current Circulating Supply: 47.36 billion tokens (according to official data)
Burned Tokens: 1.17 billion tokens
Daily Release Rate: 154 million tokens
Staked Tokens: 3.048 billion tokens

Token Distribution Release Plan

As per the NEP-63 proposal, AB’s tokenomics have been adjusted to optimize the token release schedule, improve liquidity, and ensure long-term sustainability. The key updates include:
Starting February 2025, 5.66 billion $AB tokens will be gradually released over 12 months.
All new token incentives will be allocated to computing nodes to support network stability and decentralization.
Plans to introduce on-chain staking, lending, and other financial instruments to provide additional earning opportunities for $AB holders and enhance the token’s economic value.

Token Utility

Users can stake $AB tokens to earn rewards, contributing to network security while participating in ecosystem governance. Staked $AB also grants higher node rewards and increased governance influence.
$AB serves as the gas fee for transactions on the AB mainnet, covering costs for smart contract execution, cross-chain asset transfers, and NFT transactions. Additionally, all on-chain transactions trigger a burn mechanism, helping to control inflation and creating a long-term deflationary effect.
AB is governed through a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO), where all $AB holders can vote on major decisions, including economic model adjustments, network upgrades, and ecosystem fund allocations.
AB implements a dynamic burn mechanism, where a portion of transaction fees and ecosystem payments are periodically burned, reducing total supply and strengthening the token economy. To date, 1.176 billion $AB tokens have been burned.

Team Funding

Team Information

AB evolved from the Newton Project and officially rebranded as AB in 2025. However, its whitepaper does not disclose specific team members.

Funding

AB inherits certain resources from the Newton Project but has not publicly disclosed any funding rounds, investors, or strategic backers. Currently, AB relies on the 5.66 billion $AB token release plan outlined in the NEP-63 proposal to enhance market liquidity and support ecosystem development.

Potential Risks

The accelerated token release under the NEP-63 proposal will increase $AB’s circulating supply in the short term. If market demand does not keep pace with the release schedule, it could lead to downward price pressure. Additionally, AB lacks a clearly defined revenue model—if it depends solely on staking and incentives rather than sustainable business revenues, its long-term viability may be at risk.
Adoption by enterprises and institutions for RWA on-chain integration is a key factor. If AB fails to establish strong industry partnerships, its RWA asset management strategy may struggle to gain market traction.
