Crypto Price Today (Feb 21, 2025): Bitcoin Nears Reclaiming $100k, Tron (TRX) Pumps

Bitcoin price has continued surging steadily in the past two days with it now breaking above $98,500 and about to break the psychological price of $100,000 mark. At this pace, BTC could surge past $100,000 before the weekend. 

While Bitcoin sees steady recovery, several altcoins have spiked with decent price gains. One of the top daily gainers today was Tron (TRX), which has surged over 6% in the past 24 hours. As this gain sounds dull, it is decent for a large-cap asset with billions in market cap. 

Coinciding this market movement, MKR, S (Sonic), JTO, TIA, NEAR and other leading altcoins have spiked over 10% while WLD, MOVE GRT, RAY, TAO have spiked as high as 9% on daily charts.

The recent popular, Story protocol’s IP token has witnessed massive rally past this week with it rising over 173%, surpassing all major altcoins in the period. This notable price surge has put IP among top 100 crypto assets as it breaks above the $1 billion market cap.
