Kite AI launches AI Layer 1 on Avalanche to expand Web3
Kite AI, a decentralised AI infrastructure provider, has launched its AI-focused Layer 1 blockchain on Avalanche (CRYPTO:AVAX).
This testnet launch aims to provide a transparent and decentralised ecosystem for data, models, and AI tools, facilitating AI development on the blockchain.
The Kite AI platform addresses the limitations of traditional blockchains, such as scalability issues and centralised control, by offering a coordination layer for AI contributors, including autonomous agents, model builders, and data providers.
This allows contributors to collaborate, retain ownership, and receive fair compensation for their contributions.
Kite AI's infrastructure is built on Proof of Attributed Intelligence (PoAI), a consensus mechanism that promotes transparent attribution and rewards AI contributions.
This mechanism tackles challenges related to data accessibility, attribution, and computing efficiency while maintaining decentralised AI development.
By utilising Avalanche’s scalable infrastructure, Kite AI enables high-speed processing of AI workloads, empowering developers to create and implement AI-driven applications.
According to Chi, CEO of Kite AI, the testnet launch "advances blockchain AI innovations" and "introduces the next generation of AI-driven infrastructure for Web3 builders."
"With Kite AI, we’re unlocking a programmable AI value chain where developers and institutions can seamlessly build, collaborate, and scale," Chi added.
Kite AI integrates four core components to support a decentralised AI economy.
These include: Proof of Attributed Intelligence (PoAI), which tracks and rewards AI contributions; a Decentralised Data Access Engine, which enables secure and transparent data access with attribution mechanisms; a Composable AI Ecosystem with Customisable Subnets, fostering collaboration between data providers, model builders, and AI developers; and Portable, Decentralised AI Memory, allowing privacy-protected memory storage for AI models.
As a member of the Avalanche InfraBuidl (AI) program’s selection committee, Kite AI actively supports the growth of the AI ecosystem on Avalanche.
The partnership aims to establish Avalanche as a leading blockchain for AI applications by incorporating a scalable, decentralised AI infrastructure.
The testnet is accessible for developers and organisations interested in exploring blockchain-powered AI tools.
At the time of reporting, the Avalanche (AVAX) price was $25.14.
