XRP, Bitcoin, Dogecoin Top Picks for Inauguration Day Rally
The cryptocurrency market was alive with excitement as Donald Trump was set to take the oath of office for his second term as U.S. president on Monday, January 20, 2025. Readers voted XRP as the crypto asset most likely to gain on Inauguration Day in a recent poll published post-Inauguration Day, Bitcoin and Dogecoin were other winners.
The Poll Results:
- XRP: 41%
- Bitcoin: 35%
- Dogecoin: 14%
- Shiba Inu: 4%
- None, Crypto Will Crash: 7%
It would come as no shock that XRP has recently become one of the hottest cryptocurrencies. The cryptocurrency was created by Ripple Labs and has risen 478% in value over the past year, and 32% over the last month. Adding fuel to XRP’s speculation flames are Trump’s recent meet-ups with Ripple executives.
Although it is a heavyweight in the crypto (cryptocurrency) realm, Bitcoin was down 1.6% in the previous month and was up 145% for the year. Fan favorite dogecoin is up 414% since last year, and the community is still calling for more.
So with the stock market closed in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, all eyes will turn toward the cryptocurrency market, which is still trading. Trump’s inauguration speech will surely contain crypto-friendly policies or announcements and investors are betting this will spark a rally. But if Trump plays down the sector, a ”sell the news” scenario might push prices lower.
XRP is making headlines in crypto polls again — this isn’t the first time. According to a wide readership poll conducted in December 2024, 24% of readers felt that XRP would outperform top coins such as Bitcoin, Solana, and Ethereum in the following year, 2025.
