Vitalik Buterin calls for prioritizing key upgrades such as “Blob Scaling”
Vitalik Buterin, the founder of Ethereum, stated in a post on X platform that Ethereum core developers need to better prioritize tasks. He pointed out that if he had to choose between "raising the Blob target from 3 to 6" and "other improvements in Pectra," he would prioritize the former. This indicates that data availability scaling (Blob) is his top priority. Vitalik also mentioned exploring "peerdas" and suggested trying more ambitious versions to further promote Ethereum technology innovation and optimization. At the same time, he mentioned priority recommendations for projects such as Fusaka and G*, believing that "Blob scaling" is still key, but also highlighting the importance of L1 layer EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) improvements. He specifically mentioned attention to the complete account abstraction (AA) from EOF to 7701, SIMD+EVMMAX optimization, and moderate gas limit increases.
