Bank of America: The Federal Reserve may cut interest rates every other meeting in 2025.
According to Jin10, Wells Fargo senior economist Sarah House stated, "As we enter 2025, we may see a slowdown in the pace of future rate cuts. The Federal Reserve might cut rates every other meeting." Her team predicts that the Fed will cut rates three times in 2025. Despite disagreements among policymakers on specific details, Wall Street economists generally believe that the current rapid pace of Fed rate cuts will not continue.
Additionally, according to data from Bloomberg, the market currently expects the Fed to cut rates about twice in 2025. The Federal Reserve will release updated forecasts on December 18th.
