Vitalik: Solana is too centralized compared to Ethereum, and it does differ from Ethereum’s market goals
On November 15th, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin said in an interview that on the internet, there are many people who have said some strange ideas, such as Ethereum's values being useless and Crypto being a gambling market. However, in the Ethereum community, there are some people, including many Chinese people, who participate in Ethereum because we have some values and life ideals that we attach great importance to. We want to create an open world, a decentralized blockchain and platform, and we will create sustainable applications and applications that are better for society.
In addition, when asked about "how to view Solana," Vitalik said:
I think they are really more centralized than Ethereum. First, running Solana nodes is much harder than running Ethereum nodes; second, Solana's PoS is more centralized; third, the community has more things that are directly supported by the Solana Foundation. And Solana's applications have much less demand for decentralization than Ethereum. I think the market goals they are pursuing are really different from Ethereum's.
