Ubisoft’s Secret Rayman Remake in development?

The ex-devs of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown are reportedly working on a Rayman’s remake. The secret codename for the project is “Project Steamboat” which is being handled by the team in Ubisoft Milan.

According to Insider Gaming sources, the staff of this secret Rayman remake has a dozen members of the Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown team.

Recently the news was spreading that the Ubisoft: Montpellier team behind Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown was allegedly disbanded because of underwhelming commercial performance. The sequel to the game was also denied by Ubisoft in fear of hindering the long-term sale growth of the original along with more DLC expansions.
