On July 29th, Casper Blockchain released a security incident update, stating that a security vulnerability was discovered on July 26th, and the number of affected accounts has been confirmed to be less than 15. The Casper team has developed a patch and is currently testing it. In order to prevent further losses, the validator community has decided to suspend consensus and block production.
The Casper network is still online, and consensus and validation will resume after the patch is released and validated. The Casper Association will conduct a comprehensive investigation and work with relevant authorities to recover any unauthorized transfers of funds.
