Privacy and Security Firm Proton Launches Self-Hosted Bitcoin Wallet Proton Wallet

Odaily News Privacy and security company Proton announced on Wednesday the launch of the open source Proton Wallet, designed to simplify the users Bitcoin experience. Founded in Switzerland in 2014 by scientists from the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), Proton offers services such as Proton Mail, Proton VPN and Proton Drive, focusing on providing encrypted communication and storage solutions that prioritize privacy. Its new wallet solution is designed to allow users to purchase, store and transfer Bitcoin, including features such as sending Bitcoin via email, and leveraging its existing infrastructure for enhanced security. Proton Wallets integrated entry enables users in more than 150 countries to purchase Bitcoin. (The Block)
