Elastos Announces BTC Oracle for Cross-Chain Operability with Bitcoin and EVM Blockchains
Blockchain project Elastos has unveiled BTC Oracle, a new solution that allows every EVM-compatible blockchain to function as a Bitcoin L2. The BTC Oracle is part of Elastos's BTC L2, BeL2, which enables direct development and management of Bitcoin-native smart contracts. The BTC Oracle provides real-time Bitcoin data to EVM smart contracts via a zero-knowledge proof data feed. A prototype is available for those interested in staking ELA for Bitcoin rewards. The announcement was made as part of The Protocol's weekly newsletter, Protocol Village.
