Ava Labs will stop using the Etherscan block explorer on November 30
Ava Labs will stop using the block browser run by Etherscan on November 30 and replace it with a new product called Routescan. Users will be asked to back up the information contained in the block browser, including addresses, private name tags, and private transaction notes, before the shutdown date. Luigi D'Onorio, Ava Labs' DeFi and developer relations director, said that Snowtrace will continue to exist as a domain name, but the Etherscan deployment will be discontinued and replaced by a new product launched by the Avascan team. Austin Blackerby, analysis manager at Flipside Crypto, pointed out that the cost of extracting data from the subnet for external suppliers such as Etherscan is quite high. For Ava Labs, introducing these resources internally would be more cost-effective. (Blockworks)
