Arbitrum: Arbitrum Orbit is ready for mainnet
Arbitrum announced on X platform that after several months of development, Arbitrum Orbit is ready for mainnet deployment. Orbit uses Rust, C, and C++ to write smart contracts while maintaining full EVM compatibility of the Orbit chain. Using the efficiency of WASM, it saves over 10 times the gas cost in complex cryptography. Developers can customize the Orbit chain without DAO approval and without permission to adopt any improvements made to the Arbitrum Nitro technology stack, including license-free verification, MEV capture, and further cost reduction features.
