Bitget held an educational lecture for women in Belarus as part of the Blockchain4Her program

The open educational lecture, part of the global Blockchain4Her program, was the first thematic event of its kind in Belarus. Dozens of women, who are actively interested in blockchain technologies, building their careers in this field, or are ready to actively explore this new direction, gathered at the venue in Minsk.
Elizaveta Yurchenko, Bitget CIS Market Head, shared with the participants the opportunities the company offers for business development in the blockchain sector.
"Our global initiative, Blockchain4Her, launched last year by Bitget CEO Gracy Chen, is aimed at overcoming gender stereotypes and achieving equality in business. We conducted extensive research and discovered that startups founded by women receive less than 10% of investments, while male-founded startups are actively funded by various funds and governments. This indicates the presence of certain biases and barriers in business. Bitget dispels this myth and shows that women can build successful careers in blockchain, launch and develop products that benefit society," the speaker said.
Last year alone, Bitget supported several women-founded startups in the blockchain sector, hosted the first award for women entrepreneurs, and held dozens of educational lectures for those who wish to build careers in this sector.
This is the first educational lecture in Belarus, and it has sparked huge interest from the attendees. The participants asked many questions about the principles of blockchain, security and privacy, areas of application of the technology, development prospects, and much more.
At the end of the evening, attendees were treated to a gala dinner, informal conversations with Bitget speakers and partners, and delightful gifts.
